Kevin Haley is the Environmental Health Specialist with York Region’s Community and Health Services Department. His primary responsibilities are to develop policies and health promotion programs to achieve the requirements of the Ontario Public Health Standards. His work focuses on environmental health including air quality, climate change, built environment and emergency response. Kevin is a member of the Ontario Public Health Association’s Health and the Built Environment Workgroup. He is also the lead of the Public Health and Planning 101 project. The purpose of the project is to increase knowledge among public health and planning professionals involved in the land use planning process through the development of an education module. Kevin received his Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Health from Ryerson University and is a certified Public Health Inspector. He has worked 21 years in public health.
