Sean is a professional planner who runs a Toronto-based collaborative planning practice, providing expertise to public and private sector clients on a diverse range of projects. His work is at the forefront of thinking and practices regarding transit-oriented development and the urbanization of regions, and his experience is at the intersection of a range of disciplines; bringing together policy, analysis, design, facilitation, communications, and implementation. Sean is a frequent guest speaker, student advisor, and critic at university programs in planning and design, and is a speaker at academic and professional symposia. He is affiliated with the City Institute at York University in Toronto, serving as the Coordinator of the Greater Toronto Suburban Working Group – a forum for academics, industry organizations and planning professionals to discuss ways to improve suburban governance processes and outcomes. Sean is a frequent media commentator on urban issues, and contributes to urban affairs publications including Novae Res Urbis. His projects include leading the land use planning for the 95th Street Transit Corridor in the southwest Chicago suburbs, and York Region’s Make Rental Happen Challenge.
