Professor, Mohawk College

Sean Nix, M.Eng., MCIP, RPP has been a Professor at Mohawk College in the Transportation Engineering Technology advanced diploma program since September 2013.  He teaches primarily within the Traffic Engineering (1-4) and Transportation Planning (1-3) streams, as well as an introductory course in Transportation Technology for all first year
Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Transportation Engineering Technology and Pre-Technology (Building and Construction Sciences) students. Sean also has over six years of professional experience in both municipal and private practice. His municipal experience primarily included access management, traffic and land development review. Prior consulting experience included preparation of traffic impact studies, road safety audits and reviews, traffic capacity and level-of-service analysis, travel time data collection, route planning and financial feasibility analysis for electronic toll and
traffic management schemes for clients in the Greater Toronto Area, Southern Ontario, Northeast Corridor and West Coast of the United States, and select districts in the United Kingdom.
