Fred Kent of Project for Public Spaces will lead a session focusing on the practical aspects of community participation in the Placemaking process. Small groups will learn about various "audits" they can use in their own communities to measure the success of their public spaces, and will get a chance to apply these tools in a supervised setting in and around nearby Jackson Square. Discussion topics may include the "Power of 10," the qualities of a great public spaces, the importance of programming, and managing public spaces. Space is limited, participants must pre-register during the registration process.
