305B: Measuring the Impacts of Rapid Transit on Environmental, Social, and Economic Indicators

This presentation will outline the major research project being carried out by Michael D. Di Febo at York University’s masters program in urban planning. The overarching aim of this research is to outline how the development of major transit corridors over the past two-decades has impacted environmental, social, and economic variables, three factors inclusive of sustainability. This project took the approach of measuring the statistics Canada data collected for numerous variables, and outline whether a significant change was experienced pre and posts the development of a major transit hub.
