The Next Generation of Adaptive Reuse - A Vacant Building Crawl of Downtown Hamilton

October 06, 2016

4:30pm - 6:30pm

Pre-registration Required (no cost)

Before you leave Hamilton … explore the next generation of downtown adaptive reuse projects you’ll be admiring the next time you’re in the city.  The Hamilton Planning and Economic Development Department is hosting a post-conference “Vacant Building Crawl”.  An abandoned church.  A closed theatre.  A former manufacturing building.  Today they appear as vacant, boarded-up buildings … but they will soon be the sites of new adaptive reuse projects.  Take a look inside, and meet with the developers/architects to hear their visions for breathing new life into these abandoned buildings.  Tour leaves from the Hamilton Convention Centre main lobby October 6th at 4:30 pm.  Walking tour will visit 5 sites and take approximately 2 hours.  Appropriate footwear required.  Space is limited.
