Catherine Parsons

Planner, Community Planning, City of Hamilton

Catherine has been a Planner at the City of Hamilton since May 2015.  She completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University, a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Sustainable Community Development at Simon Fraser University, and recently graduated with a Master's of Environmental Management and Planning from Simon Fraser University.

Catherine’s graduate research addressed urban environmental degradation and opportunities for incorporating an ecosystem-based management approach to watershed restoration in the urban setting.  Currently, Catherine is an Ontario Regional Representative on the Canadian Water Network Student and Young Professional Committee.  Her hobbies include hiking, travelling, basketball, and yoga.
