Partner and Urban Designer, MHBC

Eldon is a Partner and Urban Designer with MHBC, specializing in urban design and sustainability.  Eldon holds an Honours Bachelor Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Waterloo and a Masters Degree in Urban Design Studies from the University of Toronto. Eldon's experience includes a broad range of projects related to community design, intensification, urban design and architectural control guidelines, community planning policy preparation, site and masterplan concept development, visioning exercises, community engagement and public consultation. Eldon is also trained under the National Charrette Institute System for facilitating Charrettes.  By applying principles of good design and adapting them to emphasize the local context, Eldon has helped many communities across Canada achieve high quality built form and places of distinction.  Eldon has made a number of presentations on urban issues including presentations at conferences and symposiums held by OPPI, CIP, Congress for the New Urbanism and CityAge.  Eldon is a member of the Planning Issues Strategy Group and Chair of OPPI's Community Design Working Group.  Eldon is also on the Board of Directors and Treasurer of Congress for the New Urbanism's Ontario Chapter.
