In 2016, the City of Greater Sudbury adopted a sustainability focused transportation master plan and hired an Active Transportation Coordinator. Since then, the city has been developing policies and implementing 228 km of cycling infrastructure. This tour will provide an opportunity for participants to experience Greater Sudbury’s growing cycling infrastructure network by bike. The tour will depart from Laurentian University and will take participants on off-road trails, on-road lanes and physically separated facilities. Ride participants must bring their own helmet and are encouraged to BYOB – bring your own bike! We will be riding mostly on bike lanes, cycle-tracks, and off-road trails, but you will at times be riding in traffic with a group. Group riding instructions will be provided at the start of the tour. Trail is moderate difficulty with hard packed surface, not suitable for a road bike. Learning Objectives:
