Emily is a planner and partner at Urban Strategies. Public infrastructure renewal is a theme in Emily’s work and she strives to make the best use of public lands and limited reinvestment funding for future growth and evolution. She is interested in the potential for re-invention of suburban communities as more complete and thriving places to live, work and play. Recently, she managed a multi-disciplinary team undertaking a due diligence exercise in order to inform the Provincial Government’s decisions with respect to the future of Ontario Place. She also worked with the City of Mississauga to prepare a Vision for the former Lakeview Generating Station and surrounding lands. The Vision process was highly consultative, reaching over 1000 people. She recently completed a refresh of the Britannia Farm Master Plan for the Peel Board of Education’s 200 acre outdoor education site in the heart of Mississauga.
