Nick Michael, RPP, M.PL., MCIP, PLE

Nick is an Associate at N. Barry Lyon Consultants Limited who specializes in the housing market and urban economics.  He holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Queen’s University and is a Registered Professional Planner and Land Economist. 

 

Nick has extensive experience assessing housing issues and regularly completes a wide range of assignments for both the public and private sector.  These projects include highest and best use studies, market and financial feasibility analyses, affordable housing solutions, assessment of current supply and demand characteristics and projections, and major urban infrastructure and renewal initiatives.  Nick is currently leading a review of the City of Greater Sudbury’s affordable housing portfolio and the development of a revitalization plan and business case, which seeks to better align the affordable housing supply in the City with current and projected demand and establish a path for future investments in housing.
