Amy Buitenhuis is a senior policy consultant in the Chief Resilience Office and the policy lead for the creation of Toronto's Resilience Strategy. She recently joined the team after four years at the City and has lead major policy files related mostly to housing. Her most recent work includes regulating short-term rentals and improving the quality of apartment buildings through the creation of the RentSafeTO program. She holds an MA in Geography from the University of Toronto and a BScE from Queen's University.
