Facing change and guiding Ontario into the next quarter century
Dave Barton was elected Mayor of the Township of Uxbridge in 2018. He was first elected in a by-election in 2015 as Ward Councillor. Dave is a lifelong resident of Uxbridge. He is a strong advocate for growth while keeping the small town feel of Uxbridge. He is always looking for creative solutions to our limited resources so we can build a better Uxbridge.
Dave plays an active role on Durham Regional Council, and is a member of the Regional Transit and Public Works Committees. He is also an avid outdoors enthusiast, trail user and sits on the boards of Precious Minds, the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority and the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority. In his spare time Dave volunteers with local charities and is an active member of the Durham Mountain Bike Association.
