Are housing completions higher or lower in areas with high density and incomes? Are denser structures going into areas with low or high density? This Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) session examines where housing supply is occurring in the top five population centres in Ontario: Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo, and London. It explores their locations within the cities or in the outskirts and the dwelling types being built. The presentation includes analysis to improve understanding of housing starts with density and income.
