By registering for the OPPI21 conference, you'll get access to all live sessions being broadcast on the day(s) you register for, as well as any networking events that take place on the same day(s). Along with your registration, you'll also receive the ability to watch the sessions you registered for, on demand, for up to 90 days after the conference. You can complete your registration by visiting the registration page.

The conference will take place on the following days:

This year, we are once again running OPPI21 as a virtual conference, with all sessions being broadcast online so you can enjoy the program from the comfort of your home or office. Visit our program page for more information on our conference sessions.

If circumstances allow, we are looking into the possibility of gathering in-person for certain portions of the conference program, including the Annual General Meeting and mobile workshops, which would take place in downtown Kitchener-Waterloo. The health and safety of our conference speakers, attendees, and staff is of the utmost importance. OPPI will continue to monitor the latest government and public health recommendations and will share more information at a later date, should it be safe to conduct any portion of the conference in person.

Student members will also be provided with the opportunity to present on their research this year. More information on on how student members can submit a proposal will be shared soon.

OPPI recognizes its responsibility to participate in the national discussion on anti-Black and anti-Indigenous racism. As such, the OPPI21 conference will address these important conversations, including exploring topics related to systemic discrimination, representation, equity, diversity and inclusion. Our goal is to ensure the conference sessions do an appropriate job of representing racialized people, communities, equity-deserving groups, and more - either through speakers or perspectives being shared.
