General Manager, Community Development, Norfolk County

Brandon is a graduate of the University of Waterloo urban planning program. He is a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal winner with 20 years of experience in all types of planning policy, development, design and major projects. Brandon is a champion for walkable and transit-supportive development, including new neighbourhoods that are based on the 5-minute walk. He has delivered important messages about planning sustainable and healthy communities to several national Planning, Transportation, Brownfield and Health Associations. Brandon also created Kitchener’s Growth Management Program and has directed projects such as the Official Plan Review and “Planning Around Rapid Transit Stations”. He is currently the General Manger of Community Development with Norfolk County overseeing new innovations in the Planning, Building, Economic Development, Heritage & Culture and Recreation Departments.
