Duran is a Principal Planner at the Region of Peel with 10+ years of professional planning experience. He is a Registered Professional Planner and Professional Land Economist. He is the lead planner on the Region's Major Transit Station Area study and Regional policies. Duran's work includes project managing land use planning studies and developing policies for a wide range of complex planning matters that support how communities plan and manage growth. He also conducts research on demographics, market analysis and socio-economic factors that impact planning and development. His area of expertise is sustainable community development, which focuses on developing policy frameworks and implementation tools to support the social and economic needs of communities while preserving resources for the future.
