Garett Stevenson is a Senior Planner at the City of Kitchener, a Registered Professional Planner, and a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners. He has a Bachelors of Environmental Studies (Honours Planning) from the University of Waterloo. Since joining the Development Review section at the City of Kitchener in 2008, Garett specializes in reviewing and managing official plan and zoning by-law amendments, plans of subdivision, site plans, as well as consent and minor variance applications for a wide variety of projects including high-rise residential/mixed-use developments, residential infill projects, and new large-scale greenfield communities. His professional interests include continuous improvement of public engagement, the development review process, and is working on his LEAN Yellow Belt certification. Garett has experience in providing expert evidence at the OMB and LPAT. Garett’s passions include his three rescue dogs, landscaping and home improvement, spending time at the beach, and travelling.
