Hena Kabir is an architectural graduate and a Registered Professional Planner with 20 plus years of professional experience in urban planning, urban design, architectural design, and municipal management. Hena is the Manager of Development Planning with the Development Services Department at the Town of Whitchurch Stouffville and provides leadership in the management of Planning and Development approvals. Prior to this role Hena was a Principal Planner with the City of Oshawa Planning Department and worked in both Development and Policy Divisions for almost 10 years and a planner with the City of Pickering. Hena also currently serves as the Chair of the Committee of Adjustment Toronto, Scarborough District. Hena has a Bachelors's Degree in Architecture from Pakistan, a Post Graduate Diploma in Housing and Urban Studies from the Netherlands, a Master's in Environmental Studies and Planning from York University, and a Masters's Certificate in Municipal Management from Ontario Technology University. Hena is passionate about City building, the image of the City, and creating liveable neighborhoods that are attractive to live, work & play in.
