Matt is the Immediate President of the Ontario Buildings Officials Association and has recently been named President of the Alliance of Canadian Building Officials Associations. His work with both organizations is centered on providing building officials with the training, skills and resources needed to fulfill their role. Matt is also the Manager of Building and Planning for the Township of Huron-Kinloss and has been with the municipality in that capacity for the past 20 years. His experiences as a rural chief building official has made him well versed in many areas. His expertise is sought in many areas of building code administration and enforcement. Matt recently joined AECO Innovations Lab as one of the founding members of its Board of Advisors. AECO is an industry consortium dedicated to the profitability, productivity and sustainability of the architecture, engineering and construction sector.
