Ryan has over 20 years of land development, planning, urban design & economic development experience gained in consulting and three local governments (Kitchener, Waterloo and Region of Waterloo). Ryan is a Supervisor of Economic of Development at the Region and has knowledge and experience in growth management and economic development strategies to attract investment along the Regional ION LRT corridor. Ryan is managing the redevelopment of the downtown bus terminal lands and is involved with on-going Regional Official Plan review process. He is also a member of the Affordable Housing and Homelessness Core Team and has a deep understanding of the local start-up ecosystem, the importance of talent attraction, and, supporting a diverse economy. Ryan has an undergraduate degree in urban planning (UW) and a masters degree in urban design (UofT).
