Sarah has a degree from the University of Western Ontario (UWO), a certificate in Long Term Care Administration and has served 4-year terms as volunteer board member on both the Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association (ONPHA) as Southwest Chair, the Ontario Non-Profit Homes and Services for Seniors (OANHSS) and several non-profit/charitable Board of Directors. Having been in the non-profit and affordable housing sector in Ontario for over 25years, Sarah brings a unique perspective to affordable rental housing development as former General Manager of a non-profit senior’s supportive housing in London, Housing Administrator for Niagara Regional Housing, private consulting and now as the Acting Manager of Halton Region’s new Housing Action Team. Halton Region’s NEW Housing Action Team reports directly to the Commissioner of Legislative and Planning Services with the goal of advancing development on Regionally owned lands for assisted and affordable rental housing as well as overseeing and supporting funding to third party owned development projects.
