Manager of Quality Improvement, Planning and Evaluation, Somerset West Community Health Centre

Sue Merrill is the Manager of Quality Improvement, Planning and Evaluation at Somerset West Community Health Centre, which is located in the heart of Chinatown in Ottawa, Ontario. Sue started her career more than 25 years ago as a Community Developer and Health Promoter, focusing on working with residents of low-income housing neighbourhoods in the west end of Ottawa. Since then she has worked as an Evaluator/Researcher for the Pathways to Education Program and as a consultant supporting non-profits with planning, evaluation and proposal development. Sue joined the Somerset West CHC team in 2019 because of their leadership in and commitment to healthy equity and addressing the systemic barriers that so many residents face in accessing services related to all the social determinants of health.
