GIS Project Specialist, York Region

Brendan is a GIS Project Specialist working for York Region. He received is B.A. in Geographic Analysis from Ryerson University in 2007. Since then he has been working in the municipal GIS field, working as a GIS Specialist for The Town of Oakville and Durham Region before joining York Region in 2011.
Brendan’s focus is on technical GIS projects, enabling corporate staff and members of the public to access and utilize GIS data. He is currently leading the Data Co-Op project, which will enable York Region, the Local Municipalities, school boards, and conservation authorities to share up-to-date data and apps with each other, enabling access to trustworthy data from the source in near real time.
