Adam is an award winning consultant on design, construction, policy, risk and regulatory process for natural playgrounds. His partners and clients include Parks Canada, ParticipACTION, Right to Play, The Canadian Wildlife Federation, the US Army, US Forestry Service, NAEYC, Head Start, World Heritage Sites, Nature Centres, Zoos, Hospitals, childcares, schoolyards and backyards across the US and Canada. He serves as a board director at the Child Nature Alliance (www.childnature.ca) and teaches as part of the CPSI (Canadian Playground Safety Institute). His work focuses on developing community commons in low income and underserved neighborhoods through a design facilitation and community build model. He is a prolific writer and speaker on the subject of public engagement and process for park and playground design. Adam lives and works with his wife and two children with an experimental natural playground surrounding his house in Dundas, Ontario.
