Bruce graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1991 with a Bachelor of Architecture (Honours) and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Gold Medal. Bruce is a Principal at DIALOG and a LEED® Accredited Professional. Bruce has been a leader for DIALOG on multiple widely recognized projects, including the globally published and awarded Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre, the LEED Platinum targeted UBC Student Union Building, and the Beach and Howe tower (with the Bjarke Ingels Group). Bruce has experience in recreational, post secondary, urban design, institutional, social services, residential, retail and First Nations projects. Bruce is very active in the community. He has twice chaired the City of Vancouver Urban Design Panel, with his most recent term ending in early 2011. He recently assisted both Waterfront Toronto and the City of Toronto in setting up Design Review Panels. Bruce taught at the UBC School of Architecture and was the Vancouver correspondent to Canadian Architect Magazine for ten years. In addition, Bruce was the Design Correspondent for CBC Radio’s Early Edition for two years. He was a member of Vancouver Foundation’s Four Pillars Fund and is the past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Contemporary Art Gallery in Vancouver.
