October 05, 2016

11:00am - 12:00pm

Landscape architects, urban designers, architects and planners must work together to create great public spaces for the health and well-being of our communities. This session will explore the role these professionals play in creating place, and addressing climate and ecological resilience issues with a particular focus on landscape architects. It will address issues of human scale, aesthetics, environment, history and culture. Recent case studies will be presented to help participants understand the knowledge and skill sets offered by landscape architects, as well as the collaboration needed for planning and implementing successful public realm environments.
