Dana Anderson has over 25 years of professional experience in the field of urban planning.  Through various positions in both government and the private sector, she has developed an extensive knowledge base and gained experience and expertise in a wide range of areas. Ms. Anderson has developed, managed and authored new Official Plans, Secondary Plans, Zoning By-laws and major policy studies and plans for the public sector. As the Chief Planner for the Town of Oakville she oversaw the heritage, policy, development and urban design planning functions of the Town. Ms. Anderson has also directed and managed staff and sub-consultants on a variety of private sector planning projects throughout Ontario.
 
She has been engaged in past research and policy initiatives related to parkland development and parkland dedication and was responsible for a background study on open space standards as part of the last Planning Act review.
