A planner for more than a couple of decades with an Honours degree in Urban Studies from Carleton and a Masters degree in Urban Planning from Queen’s.   Currently the Program Manager of Community Planning and Urban Design for the City of Ottawa.  He manages a great group of professionals who prepare area based policy plans for targeted growth areas in the city including major redevelopment areas, suburban greenfield expansions and rural villages.   In addition, the group strives to improve Ottawa’s urban environment through the preparation of urban design policy and guidelines, through design input to the development review process, and by direct involvement in key municipal capital projects.
