Geoff is a professional Landscape Architect and a full member of the Canadian & American Societies of Landscape Architects and a stamp carrying member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects. He has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph and has been practicing  for 29 years in the private and public sectors. For the last 22 years he has been Manager of Parks & Open Space for the Town of Richmond Hill, population 210,000. There he manages a 10-15 million dollar yearly budget and a talented team of 8 project managers and technical staff responsible for the Town’s parks and open space development through a combination of internal and external design and contract administration with private consultant assistance. He has overseen the design and construction of over 220 public projects with the majority being new and revitalized parks and open space projects. Over his professional career the teams which Geoff has directed have received 16 provincial, national and international awards.
 
Geoff is a strong advocate of public place making and the creation of public spaces with meaning and their ability to positively affect the  long lasting  betterment for their users.
