Laurie Brownlee

Laurie is the Coordinator for the Northern Policy and Planning Unit with the Ministry’s Tourism Policy and Research Branch. She has held that position since November 2014. The Northern Unit provides policy and implementation advice to other ministries and agencies to ensure that northern and resource-based tourism interests are considered in government initiatives.  

 

Prior to joining MTCS, Laurie was a Planner with the Sudbury MSO at MMAH from 2002 until 2010, and an Environmental Planner and EA Coordinator with MOECC from 2010 to 2014, covering primarily Parry Sound, Nipissing and Temiskaming District areas. Before her work at the Province, Laurie was a Planner with a consulting company for 11 years, working for municipalities, developers and other clients in Northern and Eastern Ontario.
