Director, Planning Services, Town of Oakville

Mark has been in the field of Planning for over 31 years.  Mark has an Undergraduate Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Ryerson, a Certificate in Public Administration also from Ryerson and a Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from Laurentian University.  He has worked for the Province at the Ontario Municipal Board, as well as several Toronto area Law firms as a Planner working on a variety of projects in and around the GTA.  Until recently, Mark was a Planner in Sudbury where he worked in both Development and Policy planning. During his time in Sudbury he was involved in all types of applications under the Planning Act, Pit and Quarry applications, Mine Closure Plans, Environmental Assessments, among other matters. Beginning in 2011 Mark was the Manager of Community and Strategic Planning which  included both Policy Planning and GIS.  In 2013 he was appointed the Acting Director of Planning for the City of Greater Sudbury, while maintaining his Managers role.  In the fall of 2015 Mark joined the Town of Oakville as the Director of Planning Services.  Mark has participated in many Planning events throughout his career and served on OPPI Council from 1998 -2003
