Kristy is passionate about fostering sustainable and vibrant communities and supporting planners. Kristy currently practices in the areas of municipal planning, consulting, and teaching planning-related post-secondary courses. She has previously held diverse roles in the public and non-profit sectors.  She is a graduate of York University's Master's of Environmental Studies Program with a specialization in Urban and Regional Planning.
 
Kristy is an active volunteer with OPPI's Oak Ridges District Leadership Team and Planning Issues Strategy Group. She has been involved in planning numerous professional development and social events for the Oak Ridges District over the years and and worked alongside other OPPI District Representatives in recent years to organize a province-wide online book club. Besides her involvement with OPPI, Kristy also volunteers with the Canadian Institute of Planners on the Plan Canada Editorial Committee, as a representative with the UN Habitat's Planners 4 Climate Action, and also with the Professional Standards Board for the Planning Profession in Canada.
 
In addition to working as a practicing planner, as a career coach, Kristy has helped many planners and aspiring planners in Canada and the United States to launch and grow amazing careers in planning.
