MMAH Design Thinking Workshop to Inform Public and Stakeholder Engagement

October 07, 2015

3:45pm - 4:45pm

The Co-ordinated Review of the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, the Greenbelt Plan, the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan, and the Niagara Escarpment Plan began this past winter. The first round of public consultations has concluded. Feedback received from the consultation is being reviewed and analyzed to help inform the development of proposed changes to the plans.

Stakeholders from several sectors have expressed the need for more information and education about the plans. While there are no proposed amendments yet, there will be many future opportunities to inform and educate the public, professional groups, governments, organizations and land owners once any amendments are approved and in place. This session uses “design thinking” methods to generate effective approaches to educate and inform. In this interactive workshop, participate in rapid prototyping to develop, test and share ideas on how we can all make the plans better understood and used.
