Planner, Associate, Dillon Consulting Limited

Don has a Master’s degree in environmental planning/impact assessment, is an associate at Dillon Consulting and a registered professional planner. Don has more than 20 years of experience in the preparation of EIAs, conduct of socio-economic analysis, community consultation, land-use planning studies, environmental guideline preparation and environmental training. Don has been involved in more than 50 environmental assessments during the past 20 years. His project experience reaches not only across Canada but also abroad. He has extensive experience with both provincial and federal environmental assessment processes and preparing EAs that address these processes. 
 
As a socio-economic specialist, Don has examined a full range of issues including the positive and negative effects of projects as they relate to: the displacement of residents; public health and safety concerns; disruption to livelihood; community character changes; effects related to the construction workforce; employment opportunities; change in municipal service demands; and property value changes and land use changes. 
 
Don is currently the Project Manager for the Gardiner Expressway East and Lakeshore Boulevard Environmental Assessment.
