Doug Lindeblom has 30 years experience in economic development with both the public and private sectors, most of which has been gained in the Greater Toronto Area. Doug obtained a planning degree from Ryerson University and went on to start his career in the real estate field, working through most of the 1980's for a major national broker in commercial and industrial sales and leasing. He then moved into the public realm, working first for the Town of Ajax in Business Development, before moving on to the Region of Durham as Director of Economic Development and Tourism. He was seconded for two years over this time period to the Greater Toronto Marketing Alliance, a public-private non-profit agency set up to undertake international investment attraction on behalf of the municipalities and businesses in the Greater Toronto Area. In September of 2010, Doug joined York Region where he currently holds the position of Director of Economic Strategy.
