John O’Neill is currently working in Kemptville as a Rural Planner with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. He has been with the Ministry for approximately 8 years and grew up on a farm east of the City of Belleville. During his time with OMAFRA he has also taken a secondment with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) to work with the Provincial Policy Branch to support the review of the Provincial Policy Statement (PPS) 2005. Responsibilities include making recommendations on local planning document policies, providing assistance with implementation of the MDS Formulae as well as providing training related to MDS.
