Mojan is an urban planner, facilitator and art director in Toronto. She is a passionate city builder, with a particular interest in designing new and innovative ways to engage people in urban planning. She works with diverse organizations providing artistic, planning policy, and engagement advice. With over 8 years experience managing and leading community-based initiatives, projects and programs, Mojan strives to build better communities with every project that she undertakes. She has led many large scale, multi-stakeholder public art beautification projects and installations such as the World's Tallest Mural, Curate the City at Nuit Blanche, and the artworks produced for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/ParaPan Am Opening Ceremonies Ceremonial Cauldron. As an urban planner, her focus is on innovative ways to approach public engagement and facilitation projects, such as her work for the Youth Engagement Strategy for the City of Toronto. Mojan has a Masters of Environmental Studies, Urban and Regional Planning from York University, and was recently awarded the Nathan Gilbert Youth Innovation Fellowship to continue her work in designing creative ways to bring communities together for involvement in planning processes.
