Peter Smith

Peter joined Bousfields in 1987, becoming a partner in 1990.  Managing complex and demanding projects for both the public and private sector, he possesses a particular talent for integrating sound public policy based planning with both greenfield development and urban intensification.  

 

Peter has been responsible for major community design projects, including the Riverside South Community Design Plan and Urban Design Guidelines in Ottawa and the Georgetown South Community Plan in Halton Hills.  Urban redevelopment assignments include the new Four Seasons Hotel, NY Towers development, the Uptown Theatre redevelopment, London-on-the-Esplanade and Pier 27 in Toronto, the Sharkeys site in Oakville and the Hilton Hotel expansion in Niagara Falls.  

 

Peter also has considerable experience in the preparation of Official Plans and Secondary Plans for the public sector, having completed a Growth & Settlement/Servicing Strategy for Prince Edward County, the Nobleton Community Plan for the Township of King, the Riverside South Community Design Plan and Secondary Plan for the City of Ottawa and the Highway 7/Highway 400 Land Use and Density Study for City of Vaughan.
