Jennifer Dean- Dr. Dean is an Assistant Professor in the School of Planning at the University of Waterloo where she teaches and conducts research on healthy and inclusive communities. Her current research examines the social and health impacts of active transportation with specific focus on active electric mobility. Jennifer teaches in the areas of healthy communities, planning theory, social planning, and diversity and equity. She has published in a wide range of fields including urban and rural planning, public health, social and health geography, transportation and housing policy, cultural studies, and social and community development.
