Planner, City of Toronto

Matt Armstrong is a broadly experienced urban planner currently working in the City Planning Division for the City of Toronto. Most of Matt's career has been spent working on planning studies, city issues, policy, and urban design guidelines. Some of his projects include supporting and leveraging transit investment (Keele Finch Plus, Eglinton Connects), the Toronto Community Housing Corporation real estate and asset review, the Toronto Official Plan Review, Toronto's mid-rise guidelines, and evidence-based design of public spaces using techniques such as public life studies. Matt has worked for two public bodies, two private firms, and completed commissions working independently.
