Russell Mathew is a Partner with Hemson Consulting Ltd, with 30 years of professional experience. Russell is widely known for his expertise in the areas of demographic and economic forecasting and land economics. Along with developing forecasting methods that are today used by numerous municipalities and regions in Ontario, he has developed a range of skills in strategic planning, land economics, fiscal and financial modeling and analysis. He is most widely known for the preparation of the long-term growth forecasts for the Greater Golden Horseshoe that provide the basis for Provincial, Regional and local planning in Southern Ontario through Schedule 3 of the Growth Plan. Mr. Mathew has undertaken numerous forecasting, land needs, growth management strategy and long-range planning policy assignments for a diverse range of municipalities throughout Ontario. He is a Registered Professional Planner (RPP), a Professional Land Economist (PLE) and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
