Facing change and guiding Ontario into the next quarter century
Scott has over 10 years of experience in municipal government, most recently as the Manager for Strategic Planning at CreateTO, an agency responsible for strategic management and development of the City of Toronto’s real estate portfolio.
Since its launch, Scott has been closely involved in the delivery of the City’s ambitious “Rail Deck Park” proposal to transform 21 acres of unused air rights above a downtown rail corridor into Toronto’s next great public space. As Project Manager from 2016 to 2018, he managed delivery of early-stage feasibility and costing, as well as planning approvals to designate the rail corridor for park use. In his current role, Scott is part of a cross-corporate team working to resolve outstanding financial and legal matters necessary to advance the project.
Prior to Rail Deck Park, Scott held roles in support of the Toronto 2015 Pan / Parapan Am Games, Port Lands Flood Protection and various affordable housing programs. Scott holds a Masters degree in Planning from the University of Toronto
