A: You can complete your registration for our OPPI20 conference by visiting the Registration webpage.
A: By registering for OPPI20, you are getting access to ALL live sessions being broadcast on the day(s) you register for, as well as any networking events that take place that day. Additionally, you are provided with exclusive access to the conference video archive; meaning you have 90 days post-conference to stream any session on the day(s) you registered for, on demand.

A: OPPI20 will take place on four days this fall:
A: In listening to all available public health advice on public gatherings and the contagious nature of COVID-19, OPPI made the decision to move our conference to a virtual format to continue to provide members with educational and networking opportunities and ensure the safety of members and speakers.
A: OPPI recognizes that networking is an important part of the conference experience, and it is an important element of any conference we host. We are currently working on developing our networking program and more details will be available soon.
A: OPPI20 offers a variety of programming for registrants. Most sessions being presented at OPPI20 will be broadcast live with select sessions being available only as pre-recorded.

A: Yes. You will have access to all sessions being broadcast on the day(s) you have registered for.
A: Yes. If you have registered for a specific day of our conference, you have access to all sessions that are broadcast on that day for 90 days after the event.
A: Yes. Students will be provided with the opportunity to present on their research this year, as usual. You should receive more information on how you can submit a proposal in September.
A: OPPI20 was originally scheduled to take place on October 7-8, 2020 in London, Ontario. OPPI has made the decision to move to a digital conference for 2020. OPPI would like to thank the London conference team for their hard work and we cannot wait to be back in London in the future.
A: OPPI20 is not just a webinar! OPPI is working hard to bring you an engaging and interactive virtual conference this year. OPPI has teamed up with ENCORE to use its Chime Live platform for OPPI20.
A: OPPI has teamed up with ENCORE to use its Chime Live platform for OPPI20. In order to enjoy OPPI20 without any worry, ENCORE recommends using the latest version of the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox internet browser for the best compatibility with Chime Live.

A: Members will be able to access the OPPI20 program through the Chime Live platform where links to live presentations will be programmed for members. Click on the session (either in the agenda or schedule section) and begin viewing.

A: Members interested in attending OPPI’s AGM can view the AGM live through the Chime Live platform (through the agenda or schedule section). This year, the OPPI AGM will be held virtually and live for voting members. Voting will be held electronicallyas the meeting is live streamed.
A: Since we began planning this Conference, the world has changed dramatically as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and protests against racial injustice. We have responded by acknowledging that planners have a duty to listen to diverse voices, and learn more about how the systems we work under have negatively impacted marginalized people, and begin to understand how we can change our conversations and actions to create more inclusive and equitable communities. Additionally, we are featuring sessions that showcase diverse lived and professional experiences to elevate their speakers, panelists and messages, are encouraging speakers to consider including diverse voices in their sessions, and Jay Pitter will be joining us as a keynote speaker to address this cultural moment. Future OPPI Conferences will also seek to encourage and incentivise including BIPOC and/or equity-seeking voices, perspectives and worldviews.
A: All sessions will be available for on-demand viewing on the Chime Live platform from October 15, 2020 to January 13, 2021 to registered attendees.
