Andrea Adams is the Executive Director of St. Clare’s, a charitable organization working in solidarity with its tenants, staff and partnering agencies to develop and operate high quality housing with appropriate supports for people who have experienced homelessness. In her role at St. Clare’s, Andrea Adams has participated in the development of several affordable housing projects, ranging from 20-190 Units, including project management a 26 unit addition to at 25 Leonard Avenue, the conversion of an unused church in on Ossington Avenue to 20 units, and a 22 unit infill project in Kensington Market, started on July 2, 2020! In addition to developing and operating housing, St. Clare’s has been active in assisting other community groups achieve their housing and community-building goals, and sharing its successes and not-so-successes to help other organizations pursue housing options. Most recently, Andrea has worked with Build a Better Bloor Dufferin to create a housing trust seeded by a 17M contribution (combination grants and interest free loans) from a developer.
