David Sheffield is Executive Director at Green Wood Coalition, a radically inclusive, street-level organization that walks alongside people who are struggling with the effects of poverty, homelessness, mental illness and dependency. Through innovative programs in addiction recovery, team-based life planning and giving voice to lived experience, Green Wood gives individuals a pathway to recovery , healing and hope for a healthy and more meaningful life. David's work takes him to the margins of small town life where the human spirit is illustrated in full colour. Living with his family in Northumberland County, ON for many years, he’s involved himself in an array of creative activities from poetry performance to mounting live music events. David and his wife, Beth, have 4 children and 5 grandchildren, all of whom currently make their home in Northumberland.
