Melissa Le Geyt is a Master’s student in the School of Planning at the University of Waterloo. She hails from Alberta and has worked across the country and abroad with several organizations, including the Canada Green Building Council and Oxfam Vietnam. Most recently, Melissa worked with the Climate Change and Innovation Bureau at Health Canada, supporting greening projects across the country and furthering education and research on climate change and health. Her master’s research explores post-flood land use planning and managed retreat in the context of urbanization and climate change.
