Russell Mathew, RPP, MCIP

Russell Mathew is a Partner with Hemson Consulting Ltd, with 35 years of professional experience. Mr. Mathew is widely known for his expertise in the areas of demographic and economic forecasting and land economics. Along with developing forecast methods that are today used by numerous municipalities and regions in Ontario and across Canada, he has developed a range of skills in economic development-related studies, strategic planning and land economics as well as fiscal and financial modeling and analysis. He is most widely known for the preparation of long-term growth forecasts for municipalities  within the Greater Golden Horseshoe that are now the basis for Provincial, Regional and local planning in Southern Ontario. His primary practice is in assisting municipalities with long-term planning policy and growth management.
 
Mr. Mathew is a regular guest lecturer at various southern Ontario universities and for many professional conferences and industry events. He is a member of the board of the Land Economics Foundation and of the Simcoe Chapter of the LAI Land Economics Society
