Vignesh Murugesan is pursuing MES Planning at the University of Waterloo. He also holds an MSc in Applied Geology from Pondicherry University, India. His thesis research explores the cognitive and social factors influencing urban resilience and municipal-level planning for climate change. During his graduate internship with Urban Systems Ltd, he provided support for projects focused on municipal infrastructure, housing, and climate adaptation. Previously, he was awarded the Junior Research Fellowship by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR-India) and held it at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IITI) between 2016 and 2018.
