In 2010 he and partners founded HIP Developments Inc. focusing on multi-family residential development. Since its inception HIP has completed 15 projects with over 2,200 units. Prior to launching HIP Developments he held senior leadership positions with TD Bank Financial Group and Bank of Montreal overseeing real estate lending activities in southern Ontario. Higgins has managed over $1billion in real estate development & related project financing. He is also a passionate community builder who is helping HIP Developments play a leadership role in the evolution of the Region of Waterloo.
